The last one for today, but definitely not least. This is a custom billboard for McDonalds in Chicago. The billboard is functioning as a sundial, it’s not only telling you what time it is, but also which snack you should eat at McDonalds at this specific time. The concept obviously doesn’t work when it’s cloudy.

The second campaign for today is this billboard for BIC razors. It’s just impossible to dislike this idea. But probably it will be pretty labour intensive to keep the grass this short. Does anyone have an idea which agency did this?

Chang Soda: Balloon Billboard

A giant billboard was made for Chang Soda in downtown Bangkok. This creative ambient advertisement released thousands of balloons just when people were getting ready to go out to restaurants, bars and clubs on Friday and Saturday nights.

The idea behind this billboard becomes clear once the night falls and the two lights above the billboard turn on. There is only a golden background and the word Playboy together with the well-known bunny. We do not have to explain that the two light circles represent certain female body parts, right?

Actionaid India launched a campaign on homelessness in 2006 to urge people to log on and donate money towards relief for homeless people in Delhi. The web site, www.delhishomeless.org, now offline, was used as a portal for information and fundraising for the campaign. This billboard in Delhi helps those with homes get a feel for the plight of the homeless. “For some this is indoor advertising.”

Danny, a homeless man, has been sitting on top of this billboard in Austin Texas since Tuesday. This is part of a marketing study by a local homeless advocacy group to raise awareness of the nationwide issue. Billboard invites people to text the word “Danny” to 20222 and donate 10 dollars so Danny can get a house.

In The Netherlands, there is a lot of aggression and violence against public service employees. To make aware of this problem, “N=5″ made an interactive campaign where people could see themselves next to an ambulance where some scum where beating up male nurses.
People stood still and took some time to view the video. Afterwards there were given 4 tips what to do in such situation.

The billboard is interactive with by passers, if you donate money the image will change. Take a good look because the expression on the girls face is breathtaking.
