Vimeo is a U.S.-based video-sharing website on which users can upload, share and view videos. It is most known as the main competitor of Youtube. Since the launch in 2004, Vimeo has now become the most qualitative video platform online.

In June (7-9), Vimeo is giving its Award Show for the best videos in categories like music videos, animation, action sports, motion graphics and many more. The most interesting category is evidentially advertising. The shortlist contains 12 brands with each their own short video.

A great concept developed by some students of the Miami Ad School in Germany. On children’s day you can download an update for the successful video-game Battlefield 3, when playing the game after this update you will have to complete a round without guns and armour. When you get ‘killed’ you will see you just played the game as an innocent child. After this you are invited to donate money off course. We are not sure though if EA games would ever let advertisers mess with their precious video-game.

Ikea products help you save space, so the brand decided to prove that point by squeezing an entire store into a banner. Move your mouse around and the products get magnified – by a few more pixels – and can be bought when you click through.
