Coca-Cola water brand Dasani is literally going green with its new OOH campaign by designing a 12-foot topiary art piece in the shape of its eco-friendly PlantBottle packaging. In Bay Street in Toronto, the giant sized water bottle will be carved by Joe Kyte, known as “Topiary Joe.” View two more pictures after the break.


PETA: Fashion Prices

PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, ran an interactive poster campaign in Singapore using advertisements fashion leather boots, bags and belts to draw attention to the all-too-common ugly side of the fashion industry. Viewers were invited to download the Stickybits application, scan a barcode with their smartphone, and “discover a new dimension of shopping”. When the barcode was scanned viewers were shown videos by Pamela Anderson and Joaquin Phoenix revealing the true cost of the item they were about to buy, and an invitation to explore cruelty-free shopping alternatives. Sugar Free is a brand of artificial sweetener. In India they communicate this low calorie product in an extreme light way. A floating billboard was created, equipped with three huge helium balloons.


Sapporo: Motion Projection

The goal for this campaign was to spread the legend of Sapporo beer beyond the sushi bar. Therefore Dentsu Inc, created a motion projection, were people could let their shadow be transformed into a giant legendary Japanese character. Three characters were made, a sumo wretsler, a samurai and a geisha. Another successful campaign by Dentsu Inc!

The symbol of this awareness campaign for child abuse is a simple hug. But Monumenta Brazil didn’t keep it simple. The massive statue of Christ the Redeemer at Rio de Janeiro was used to create the world’s biggest hug. By using projection technology it appeared the statue gave hugs instead of spreading his arms.


Amsterdam Zoo: Billboard stickers

Amsterdam Zoo has come up with a cool interactive billboard-campaign. On the billboards several (easily removable) stickers were put, in the shape of all kind of animals. Locals were then invited to remove the stickers and paste them somewhere in the city. That way, it was not only the zoo but also passer-by’s promoting the baby-boom of newborn animalas at the zoo..


Coca Cola: Plant Billboard

Together with the World Wildlife Federation Coca-Cola unveiled a billboard in the Philippines that’s actually good for the city it inhabits.

The 60 x 60 foot living billboard in Manila is made of thousands of Fukien tea plants surrounding the iconic curvy shape of a silver Coke bottle. The project with the CO2-eating plants was created in conjunction with Coca-Cola Philippines’ Live Positively sustainability program. Pots made from recycled bottles contain the 3,600 trees, which live off a mixture of organic fertilizers.

Milwaukee-based COA Youth & Family Centers (COA) is partnering with C-K/Milwaukee to raise awareness of the positive impact parents’ involvement with their child’s education has on chances of success in the classroom. The pro bono campaign brings interactive learning displays, or “guerilla classrooms,” to life around the Milwaukee area.
