Hitta.se: R.I.P. Yellow Pages

Hitta.se is Swedens leading search engine. The word Hitta is Swedish for ‘find’. You have to admit this approach is simply genious! The tagline for the campaign says: ‘R.I.P. Yellow Pages, Place your ad where people might actually read it.’

Panasonic: Wireless animals

These five print ads were made for Panasonic. It was a campaign for their new wireless DVD theater machine using animals to depict the extinction of wires. In the prints they made a panda bear, a turtle, a lion, a parrot and a whale out of wires. The copy that goes along: “Wires are under extinction. DVD Theater Panasonic. Now Wireless.”

Hedra: Let’s toast to nature

Hedra is a foundation in the Netherlands that looks after environmental packaging of drink cartons. With these two print ads goes the tagline: For every tree that’s processed in our cartons, we plant a new one.

Glassex: Helmet

Glassex Window Cleaner did launch an appealing advertising campaign laying importance on the efficiency of the product. The campaign showing how the cleaning capacity of Glassex giving a hard time to pets depicting it cleans that efficiently that could cause accidents.

Gold’s gym: cropped pictures

Everyone knows these hilarious profile pictures on Facebook, Twitter and Messenger. People are doing a lot of effort to look better on their profile picture than they do in real life. For this campaign they’ve found a genious slogan to promote Gold’s Gym: What you leave out of Twitter, put it into Gold’s Gym. In other words, if you are ashamed of yourself and want to hide this from others, just go into a gym and do exercise.

Volkswagen: Clown

Volkswagen keeps introducing innovations in their cars. One of their new assistance systems is called ‘Lane assist’. It alerts a driver when he is deviating from the road, a problem usualy caused by tiredness. The clown in this ad is just perfect, it looks like it’s been done by Stephen King himself.

Suraj Electronics: Legendary Pixels

Suraj Electronics is a big electronics dealer in India. They sell everything from usb’s to laptops and recently they started to sell LCD TV’s. For that particular product they made this cool campaign together with JWT saying: ‘If one pixel can tell you a story, imagine what millions can”.

French anti tobacco association: Submission

This campaign got a lot of protest in France this week. The French government already took distance from the campaign, and now feminist associations are fighting to ban this print campaign. They say it refers too much to pedophiles.
The translation of the slogan is: smoking is being a slave of tobacco.
