Another great Twix pause commercial! I’ve posted another one some time ago.
In this spot there is a guy sitting on a bench in a park eating his Twix slowly, when he does this, he sees life in a completely different perspective. Feel good ads like this one are just great to watch.

Aides: old man

Aides is a French non-profit organization that fights against aids. In their campaign they say the life expectancy of Africans is only 47 years. Soon they won’t know what an old man looks like. The way they illustrated this statement is pretty dramatic, but the shots in this ad are really nice! The slogan for this campaign is “Let’s not abandon Africa to aids.”

Jack Daniel’s is a whiskey brewed in Tennessee that is among the world’s best-selling liquors and is known for its square bottles and black label.
The whiskey has a interesting history, but the thing that most people asks themselves is “Where does number 7 come from?” (“Old No. 7″ is written on every bottle).
No one knows, and many have their own theories..

Merry Christmas to all of you. On this day we want to share this wonderful Guinness Christmas advert with scenes throughout Ireland. The music was produced specially for the commercial by composer Kevin Sargent.

“Even at the home of the black stuff, they dream of a white one.”

Toyota: Controversial Yaris ad

Toyota Australia used online social networks to promote their Yaris which is mainly sold to young women. The only problem was that it backfired after a competition-winning short film was criticized as sexist, incestuous and degrading. Toyota apologized for this controversial ad and placed it offline.

Honda: Jazz

This campaign has been made in Australia for the new Honda Jazz.
It shows millions of ‘Mega Bloks’ flow in and out of the car, transforming into a dog, a huge wave, an octopus and so on.. Even though the car is just standing in a grey hall, the commercial is lively and attractive because of the nice animation.

I guess this is a computer animation, attempting to look like real hand-made stop motion video. I’ve searched the internet for a making of and didn’t find anything. But even though this is not ‘real’ it’s a nice commercial..

A lot of people don’t realise there is a lot of violence in Africa caused by diamonds. So called ‘conflict diamonds’ or ‘blood diamonds’ are used to fund militairy operations in conflict zones. These diamonds are illegal, yet still a lot of Western companies buy them. A lot of Africans die because of these diamonds. The african Diamond Council wants to inform people about these problems with this shocking television ad.

This is a fantastic ad for Twix! For years they are positioning this candy bar as the ideal snack for a short break. Everybody knows the slogan ‘No Twix no break’. For this campaign they have a new slogan: ‘Invent a pauze, open a Twix’. This implies everybody can create their own break, no matter where you are. Could anyone predict this ending?

This is a nice ad for the new Volkwsagen Bluemotion. I’m not sure what the theme has to do with a car, but I still like it. This spot is really good directed, and the girl fits perfectly. Perfect casting!

Amnesty International: Credits

I always liked the ads made for non-profit organisations. The main advantage for them is that they can be really shocking without having to worry about the image of the company. This commercial for Amnesty International is shocking again. It gets a bit boring after a while, maybe they should have shortened it a little. But still it delivers the message great, and that’s what they want in the end. Off course you only want to see this ad once, after that it lost it’s catch.
