This new Guinness Beer ad is pretty cool. It’s about a clock that starts to control time to enhance the townspeople’s days; accelerating time to make a task go faster, reversing time to avoid an unfortunate event and pausing time to allow a precious moment to last longer. The commercial celebrates the attitude shared by Guinness and its drinkers, that you get more out of life by putting more in.
As beer ads go, they usually fall into one of two camps; guys acting stupid/drooling over hot women or guys getting all macho with one another. This BBDO New York-created commercial falls into the latter category but ups the anti with a twist ending that
Next Saturday it’s St Patrick’s day again and like every year a lot of campaigns are inspired by this event. This Guinness ad is by far the best one we’ve seen this year. Extremely funny British humour playing on British culture. Enjoy!
