The world’s first petition-signing bionic arm, known as The Most Powerful Arm Ever Invented, has launched in aid of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). It was created to physically sign a petition on behalf of children with DMD who have lost the ability to write. The petition asks the Australian Government to match the monies raised and bring trials to Australia. The campaign is the result of collaborations between production and technology company, Finch; creative agency Havas Worldwide Australia working in conjunction with its PR arm, Red Agency; and digital agency, Reactive. Watch the making of after the break.

You will definitely stare at this commercial from the beginning until the end. The shots, the music and the narrator fit together beautifully. Especially the music gives this Lord of The Rings feel to it.

Using one of their latest features, Seat Germany saved taxi passengers money every time the driver used the brakes. The “Brake Energy Recovery System” is one of Seat’s most innovative technologies. It collects energy usually lost when a car brakes and then uses this energy when it accelerates again. So instead of being wasted, this energy creates significant fuel savings.

Very cool campaign from WWF Brasil. Together with their agency Grey, they gradually coloured the grass of a football field into a brownish colour during a soccer match between Brasil and Denmark, and thus make people aware in a very effective way of the deforestation that is going on every day.

This beautiful commercial was made for The California Lottery. The director did an amazing job on it. But for us, as Belgians, we are even more proud of the soundtrack. It was sung by the Belgian girls choir Scala, together with the Kolacny Brothers. Check out their amazing live performance here.

Maes is Belgium’s second most popular beer but also Belgium’s 3rd most common surname. So since there is no joy in being second Maes beer gave a free barrel of Maes to all the people with the name Maes. They just had to sign up on Facebook, choose a pub and share the date – and their beer – with all of their friends. The campaign was created by TBWA and broke quite some records. The Facebook fanpage made it into the 6% most active pages worldwide, 1 out 20 Belgians visited the website and the amount of fans tripled in 1 day.

Heineken: The road to the final

Yet another Heineken commercial in the ‘Open your world’ series; a series that always revolves around a slick, but sympathetic and playful James Bond-like character that has this way of dealing with exotic situations. To get people excited for the final of the Champions League – Heineken is official sponsor – we see Mr. Smooth in this director’s cut travel half the world to be there on time.
