Jim Beam is a brand of bourbon whiskey and to promote that their bourbon taste never changes the made this clever billboard comparing their product to men. They state that men never change and prove it with the tag line: “Guys think about sex every sex seconds”.

A lady calls her boyfriend who is in a bar, but is suppose to be sick at home. Luckily everyone in the bar pretends like they are part of different TV channels. This reminds us of the Andes: Teletransporter commercial even tough the advertisement made for Captain Morgan dates back much longer.

Dean’s: Scotsman doing a ‘Marilyn’

Whiskey is often drank by men. Women can’t always appreciate the strong taste and mostly they mix it with other drinks to make it softer.
But this particular whiskey, Deans, is especially mild and not only meant for the rugged guys.
This is proved by the print ad who shows a Scotsman whose skirt is blown up by a passing subway train. Now I wonder where he got that pose from?


Absolut: I’m Here

The vodka brand Absolut has requested Spike Jonze (best known for his collaborations to the movie Being John Malkovich), to participate in a ground breaking short film. The partnership acknowledges the brand’s position as a pioneering and culture-shaping brand.




The short film is called “I’m Here” and is a 30-minute love story about the relationship between two robots living in L.A. It is said that the short film shows the director his vision of the brand Absolut.
It premiered last week on the Sundance film festival.

For over 25 years Absolut vodka has had a simply genius advertising campaign. The well known bottle of Absolut is the shape of a Swedish Medicine Bottle. Which is hard to use for bartenders but the shape was an inspiration for their print campaign.

The principle is simple. Always create the same shape with a dazzling image using all different kinds of techniques. The prints that were displayed in magazines became collector items and even famous artists and writes helped creating them. According to Advertising Age magazine, the Absolut vodka campaign was one of the ten best campaigns of the 20th century.

In Belgium from the 11th till the 18th of June Absolut Vodka has five Porsche taxis driving you around for free in two major cities. They drive to shopping malls, pubs and other public places. At night they drive people home from party locations. It is part of their new campaign “In an Absolut World”.
