Every basketball fan will love this short movie. Kyrie Irving, NBA-player at the Cleveland Cavaliers and Rookie of the Year, dressed himself in ‘Uncle Drew’, an old man that played basketball when he was young. When someone of a Street Ball contest injured himself, Uncle Drew replaced him, and played a hell of a match. Even though people understood this was fake, it remained funny.

A very cool stunt was done by German bank ING-DiBa. They figured out a way to use your smartphone to control an animated basketball shot. This game was placed at major basketball matches. We’re a fan of the concept but what is the real benefit the bank is getting from it?

Because life is a sport.

The new commercial for Jordan, Nike’s brand for basketball apparel, is very inspiring. No matter where you play, on which level or even how old you are, matters in this sport. The only thing that really matters is that you ‘love the game’.

Nike has launched “Rise”, a advertisement featuring basketballer LeBron James as he looks back on his decision to move from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Miami Heat. LeBron sits in a studio that mimics his July announcement, “The Decision”, asking the question, “What should I do? Should he admit that he has made mistakes?” Nike says this isn’t about what LeBron James has done, or hasn’t done. This is about the difference between the expectations others may have of him versus the expectations he has of himself. What should he do? The answer is a question.

Bert, our basketball expert, is going to be jealous that he is on vacation because I bet he wanted to post this print advertisement. Anyway I like the game too and especially this evolution ad with different players from back in the day till now. Who are all the players? Click on the picture to have a better look, it really looks nice.
