Israeliens advertising agencies are a lot of (wo)men short, to keep up with business. Gitam BBDO, hosted the portfolio night, where senior creative directors from all over Israel its agencies, could meet up with copywriting and art-directing students to talk about business and jobs. The creative directors took their ‘New-Blood-Campaign literally by motivating the students to first donate blood to meet them.
To promote the whole action, the creative directors, made this ‘bloody’ short movie to motivate students.. The campaign ended both for the bloodbanks as for the agencies in a huge success..

Today we present you another old ad for Fedex, you can say again it’s hilarious. Why don’t they use this strategy anymore, maybe they are focussing more on B2B these days?
D.Vice is an online adult store. To promote their products and improving the brand awareness, BBDO New Zealand and D.Vice created this daring print campaign.

“Messages from Mars”, is a Gold Design Lion winner at Cannes International Advertising Festival. The famous label was removed from the candy bar, only leaving it black. They provided consumers with the complete alphabet in the Mars font. The bar became an interactive object that people could use to pass a message. You can see some examples, but the text on these bars is in Dutch though.

Sometimes you have to wait a wait for a website to load. In case of flash websites this is preceded by a loading bar. Fedex makes good use of this by promoting its own service.
In New Zealand water coolers were filled with blood, to promote the new show Vampire Diaries on TV2. The water coolers were placed in gyms, offices, hairdressers and other public places.
HBO and BBDO developed an amazing campaign lately called: “It’s more than you imagine”. In New York, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. they placed a 14 foot Cube on the streets where on 4 sides of the cubes, a story could be sen. It was the same story, but in an other angle, which made the story more interesting as you only see it on one side.
Check out their site HBO campaign to view the two stories. This campaign won Silver on the Cannes Lions awards.
Probably everyone knows Paul the octopus, the German octopus that has predicted all the matches of Germany correct during the world championship of soccer. Sadly for Holland Paul predicted that Spain is going to win on Sunday (I’m sorry Rindert). Pepsi has used this short time famous mascot in a cool way in this print campaign.
Here’s a nice commercial of AT&T, the largest provider of fixed telephony in the United States. They wanted to show “the possibilities that are out there when you expand your boundaries and embrace discovery“. The commercial be airing during ESPN’s 3D soccer coverage and will also be running in 3D in select movie theatres around the country.
