Maes is Belgium’s second most popular beer but also Belgium’s 3rd most common surname. So since there is no joy in being second Maes beer gave a free barrel of Maes to all the people with the name Maes. They just had to sign up on Facebook, choose a pub and share the date – and their beer – with all of their friends. The campaign was created by TBWA and broke quite some records. The Facebook fanpage made it into the 6% most active pages worldwide, 1 out 20 Belgians visited the website and the amount of fans tripled in 1 day.

Apparently the vintage look & feel in commercials is back. Wieden & Kennedy New York made this new commercial for Heineken, where a guy is tealing girlfriends all over the world. Don’t really get the concept of the commercial, but it is fun to watch.

An ordinary looking East London corner shop was hacked to play a familiar tune whenever anyone picked up a Red Stripe, much to people’s surprise. People did not knew what was happening at first, but it didn’t take long before everybody was dancing.

In the past we’ve seen a lot of great stuff pas by on CreativeCriminals.com for Andes beer. And this campaign fits perfectly in their image. They created camouflage instruments so guys can camouflage their last beer so nobody will take it from the fridge. If someone can help us out finding on of these, please do so.

Now this is something awesome! A bottle of wine which is actually promoting a brand of beer. How is this even possible? A lot of men prefer to drink beer instead of wine, but drink wine to fit in. So Export Dry tried to save them from this. They titled a bottle of wine ‘You don’t have to do this’. On the back of the bottle they wrote this amazing copy, you definitely have to read it yourself. Click on the image below to enlarge and just enjoy this brilliant idea.

Guinness wanted to become more relevant by its target group and get talked about in bars. They created the Guinness QR cup and distributed them to bars. When the glass was filled with Guinness, it revealed a QR-code. People could then scan it, tweet it and share it with their friends..
