I can’t believe I’m posting another Heineken ad! But I have to admit, their ads are great…

Everybody knows the phenomenon, your friends will eventually grow up and become ‘adults’.
But what if you didn’t hit this stage yourself? Situations like these can be pretty anoying…

Shumensko: Bag full of beers

Shumensko is a Bulgarian beer and to promote it they made a bag look like a case of beer. It look like you are carrying a case of beer with just one hand but it is actually it is just a shopping bag.

Update: We have received a comment from Frantisek Fuka telling us the name of the beer is in Cyrillic. What we first posted as “Wymehcko” is actually Шуменско. It is pronounced Shumensko.

Strongbow: Braveheart-speech

Watch this ad which is clearly influenced by the movie Braveheart.
Strongbow is a brand of cider manufactured in England, and is the UK’s most popular cider, accounting for more than half of the cider sold in Britain.

It’s about undervalued tv installers, road workers and others who wants to ally with the UK’s working classes.
Their baseline is “Hard earned”. By that they mean that the drink should be for anyone who has a hard day at work.. The core idea = Workers as heroes..

I wonder if Mel Gibson will drink this cider from now on?
You got to admit, his speech was also very touching..

Heineken: Your own bottle

Bert and Sander who write for this blog are both from Belgium. Everybody knows that the best beers are made in Belgium. And I, a guy from The Netherlands am not going to argue about that. But the fact is that most Belgians don’t like Dutch beers especially Heineken. So far I have not posted an advertisement from Heineken but Bert and Sander did. So I’m starting to think that they do like Heineken. Anyway here is the 3rd Heineken post.

On jouwheineken.nl you can customize your own Heineken beer bottle. You can use your own pictures and design but there are also pre-designed images available. To bad this can only be done in The Netherlands. I can image that a lot of people want to get these personalized beer bottles as a present. A six pack costs 15,95 euros (about 20 us dollars). I am going to order it now for Bert and Sander :)

Heineken: ‘Walk-in-fridge’- succes

Everybody knows the ‘walk-in-fridge‘-commercial made by Heineken.
Some girls are wandering through the new appartement of their friend when they see suddenly the gigantic closte room of her.. They start screaming, but at the same time the guys start to scream harder, because in the appartement, there is a gigantic fridge with only Heineken in it..

Then some guys from the Netherlands made their own walk-in-fridge, by crashing a wall in a flat building and attaching a gigantic container to the building. Click here to see the spoof!

Now they’ve made a follow up of the first commercial. It is based on the first one, and as good as the first one..

The NBA-team Cavaliers (team from James Lebron) made their ‘own’ Heineken commercial. It has nothing to do with beer, but with something else..

Jupiler: Tauro

Update: Jupiler has now 3 kinds of beers: One for the pussies (Jupiler Blue: 3.3%), one for the boys (Jupiler Original: 5.2%) and one for the men (Jupiler Tauro: 8.3%), like us..
The last beers’ launching campaign is made by Famous, a Belgian agency. The outdoor advertisement shows the campaign’s symbolic bull, releasing smoke from his nostrils. It attracted the attention of many viewers taking pictures and forwarding them to friends. The launch was a huge success.
After the jump check out their TV commercial.

Stella Artois: Retro Style

Ah, le Cinéma! Remember the days when men were strong and silent, women were chic and sophistiqué, and the action was as smooth as our 4% triple filtered beer? Formidable!
At Stella Artois, we have gone back in time to rediscover these films – the orgininals, before Hollywood did to them what Hollywood, sadly does..
Vive le cinema triple filter

Stella Artois (Best Beer in the World), has created the ‘Smooth Originals’ campaign to promote the launch of their 4% beer. On the site you can review three sixties-style remakes of Hollywood blockbusters: Huit Kilomètres, Dial Hard, and Vingt-Quatre Heurs.

Going retro for a brand is certainly not new (George Clooney – Martini) , but the ‘Smooth Originals’ is one of the best I’ve ever seen.
