Playstation: Metro station take-over

On February 22, Sony launched the PlayStation Vita portable gaming device with the slogan ‘The World is in Play’. The ad campaign celebrates the idea that through the new PS Vita, the two worlds of real life and gaming can be merged. In Belgium, that promise was brought to life by transforming Brussels’ biggest metro station into a super-sized soccer stadium with grass, dug-outs, a euphoric coach and a complete soccer team.


Nissan: Streetart showroom

An old building just outside Brussels will be transformed into a Nissan showroom next year. To make people aware of this, creatives Ivo Mertens and Jasper Declercq of advertising agency TBWA\Belgium came up with an impressive street art painting on the 400m2 wall of the building. Street artist Steve Locatelli used 489 spray cans in 2 week to complete the breathtaking piece of art.


Mini: Fan the Flame

Adverting agency TBWA\Agency.com created the social media campaign “Fan the Flame” to promote the recently launched MINI Facebook page in Belgium and Luxemburg.

A MINI Countryman was placed on a slope of 15% hanging only on a thick rope. Under the rope a bunsen burner was placed. Once you have liked the Facebook page you can watch the live construction, which was build on the parking lot of the Brussels Motorshow and remote ignite the flame from the campaign website. If your flame is the one that burns the rope, you win the MINI countryman.

This campaign is from the Opvoedingslijn, a Flemish advice hotline for parents with out of control kids. Problem: Belgian parents still think they can handle their difficult kid alone. But what to do if your kids starts singing Christmas songs like these ones..

Proximus: Footsave your phone

The second Belgian ad for today is not posted because it’s a good commercial, but simply to share this guy’s amazing skills. Aparently Proximus, a Belgian mobile operator is learning it’s customers to save their cellphone with their feet. Well you will probably have a lot of practice to do before you can do this.


Renault: The silent song contest

This fun online campaign for Renault was made by Boondoggle in Belgium. Through a Facebook-page you could win a new Renault Clio, simply by guessing which song people were singing. The catch was you couldn’t hear anyone sing, you could only read their lips. Why? Because it’s the same in your car when you look at other people singing in their car.


Carlsberg: Bikers at the movies

You gather 148 bikers into a cinema and leave only two seats in the middle available. This provides us with great footage of unexpecting couples who buy the tickets for these two free spots. Do they make the right choice and leave? Or is it the right choice to gather all their courage and take place between these bad boys? If they make the right one it calls for a Carlsberg. This campaign was made in collaboration with the Belgian production company Monodot.


Chaudfontaine: Beavers

The Coca-Cola owned water brand Chaudfontaine is known in Belgium for their commercials involving animals. With this spot they are continuing this story-line. Some people might believe this concept has been used too much in the past but it remains entertaining don’t you think?
