Being human isn’t enough to fill in an internet security captcha. You know, the random letters and numbers you have to fill in to verify if you are a real person online. Or at least that is what the organisers of the Gulf Scrabble Championship claim. By unscrambling the letters of a captcha you can show you are more than human, you are able to form words.

The famous word game Scrabble is losing it’s popularity over the years. Ogilvy & Mather Bogota got challenged to bring this game back to the top of mind. What did they do?
They went to the most popular buildings in Bogota and used their company names to create new words in the same typeface. In that way they could show that Scrabble is a game that is fun, easy and able to be played anywhere.

The boardgame “Scrabble” celebrates it’s 60th birthday with this new ad. But the main purpose is to change the image of the game. The penetration of scrabble in France is already really high, they now want to recruit new and young families. That’s why scrabble want’s to lose the image of being a boring and outdated game.
