These five print ads were made for Panasonic. It was a campaign for their new wireless DVD theater machine using animals to depict the extinction of wires. In the prints they made a panda bear, a turtle, a lion, a parrot and a whale out of wires. The copy that goes along: “Wires are under extinction. DVD Theater Panasonic. Now Wireless.”
In São Paulo 3 million people take the subway every day. Perfect for an advertiser to reach as much people possible in this distinct place. But the way you advertise is also extremely important..
Vending machines in subways usually offer you nothing else but some chocolate bars and soft drinks. Fundação Abrinq, an human right organization, putted on one row of different vending machines in the city pictures of children holding cards of $ 1.00, $ 2.00 and $ 5.00.
On the picture it said: “With your help we can get these children of the streets”.

Curitiba, a city in Brazil, made this ambient for their shopping mall. Instead if use a normal crosswalk they made it look like a barcode. The shopping mall had special authorization from the Curitiba’s City Hall to create it, even though you might think it you bring people in traffic in danger.

Exactly one year ago Barack Obama was sworn in as the 44th President of the United States of America, the first African-American ever to hold the office of U.S. Commander-in-Chief.
The 43th President as we all know was George W. Bush. As many of us did not like his strategy, Tesa, a well-known manufacturer of adhesive tape did think the same. They made this print ad to impose silence upon George. Tageline: “The world needs tape like this.”
Other print ads are: José Sócrates, Prime Minister of Portugal, Silvio Berlusconi Prime Minister of Italy and Hugo Chávez President of Venezuela.
Leroy Merlin is a French worldwide home-improvement and gardening retailer. Their stores are large centers providing self-service for building, gardening, sanitary equipment, renewable energy and interior decoration.
Under their motto ‘You’d better do it yourself‘, they made a print campaign where they show why you shouldn’t hire a gardener, a plumber or an electrician.

Emirates Airlines recently entered a new media system with 1.200 channels on their flights. To promote that, they converted several movie theaters in São Paulo, into a plane by placing the typical airline windows all over the cinema.
Before the movie started, the lights faded and people could read the following text: “Imagine a movie theater at 39.000 ft, with over 1.200 channels. Movies, TV-shows, music and more on demand.. The world’s most complete on board entertainment.”

The film “2012” will be in theaters on November 13, 2009. The film explores the idea of a global doomsday event coinciding with the end of the Mayan Long Count Calendar.
To promote the film in Brazil they covered the subway Cantagalo in Rio de Janeiro with a 45 m² banner of simulation of a flood on each side. Too bad that they did not cover the ceiling as well…

This installation was placed on location with a large concentration of children and parents. A mechanism inflated and deflated large rubber balls, causing the impression that someone was blowing such a big bubble that it would be coming out of openings and windows.
