We’ve already seen some great Budweiser spots pass along on this blog. Today we stumbled upon an older one, weirdly we never saw it before. Especially when it’s such a good commercial as this one. Who wouldn’t mind swearing a little to get some beer in the end? Great work again by DDB for Bud, keep them coming please!

The Budweiser Clydesdales was shown in yesterday’s Super Bowl, after all. Anheuser-Busch its trademark horses appeared in an ad in the fourth quarter of the game. The horses weren’t originally scheduled to air during Sunday’s game on CBS. But the longtime Super Bowl advertising leader received a different cut of a proposed Clydesdale ad and decided to consider it. The company a unit of Anheuser-Busch and the Belgian company InBev.
It tells the story of friendship between a young Clydesdale and a young steer.

The commercials for Bud light are legendary for a long time, and they prove again they are more than worthy to this image. Nothing more than good humour and guys drinking beer. Enjoy!

Whassup? was a commercial campaign for Anheuser-Busch Budweiser beer from 1999 to 2002. The first spot aired during Monday Night Football, December 20, 1999. The ad campaign was run worldwide and became a pop culture phenomenon. The phrase itself is a corruption of the phrase “What’s up?”. In 2008, waiting more than 8 years, they finally said “Wassup” to eachother again, being a clear endorsement of the presidential campaign of Barack Obama.
“Whassup!” won the Cannes Grand Prix award and the Grand Clio award, among others. In May 2006, the campaign was inducted into the CLIO Hall of Fame.
Budweiser would later do their own parodies of the ads with “yuppies” saying; “What are you doing?”, and “New Jersey-ites” saying; “How ya’ doin’?” There was also an international parody which featured Yorkshire men screaming the phrase “Ey up!”, Scotsmen saying; “How’s about ye’!”, and Japanese men screaming; “Konnichiwa!”

So far we have only posted one Budweiser commercial. I am actually a fan of their commercials so here you go. This one was made for the 2006 Super bowl.
One man hides his Bud Light from guests by having refrigerator disappear behind a revolving wall, but it magically appears in the apartment next door.
The cost of a 30-second spot for Super Bowl I in 1967 was 42,500 dollars on CBS and 37,500 dollars on NBC. That was the only time that one of the biggest events in the world was broadcasted on two television networks. Twenty-two years and 22 games later, CBS is asking 3 dollars million for a 30-second ad.
