Levi’s: Square

Posted by Bert Callens on August 20, 2010 No comments yet

In Sri Lanka a new Levi’s shop opened recently. To make people aware of their new shop, Saatchi & Saatchi helped the Jeans manufacterer promoting its shop by creating a guerilla-campaign.
They’ve put a giant piece of jeans fabric on the street to show its strength and moreover they created the illusion that the street was a giant jeans, by putting (giant) stitches on the edge of the street.

Calvin Klein: QR-Hotness

Posted by Bert Callens on August 10, 2010 No comments yet

Calvin Klein Jeans replaced three of its billboards not with another too-sexy montage of scantily clad models, but with a bright red QR code under the words “Get It Uncensored.”
Passersby could use their smartphones to snap a picture, which would pull up an exclusive, 40-second commercial featuring models like Lara Stone. Afterwards viewers could then share the code with their Facebook and Twitter networks.

Posted by Rindert Dalstra on July 27, 2010 No comments yet

Yesterday we posted a tweet about an amazing stop motion video. Unfortunately at that moment we could not publish it on our blog since we thought it had nothing to do with advertising. Today we found out that Mike’s walks across America from New York to San Francisco has actually been sponsored by Levi’s. You can view his whole journey on Google Maps.

Diesel is currently running their newest campaign “Be Stupid” worldwide. It encourages the consumers to be stupid, as smart isn’t cool. This campaign is executed in Germany and wanted to show the ridiculousness of spending so much time on social media. On a festival day in Dusseldorf they’ve created a concept called “FacePark” where people could waste their time instead online, in the park.

Hitler in Pink

Posted by Bert Callens on July 20, 2010 No comments yet

In Palermo, a clothing company put up large billboards of Hitler, showing the Nazi leader, dressed in a pink uniform with a heart armband, telling young people to change style. The billboards said: “Change style. Don’t follow your leader.”.
Logically, there has been a lot of controverse around this campaign. Yet the company defends itself by claiming that the posters ridicule Hitler and encourage young people to make their own choices.

The Generic Man: Tokyo/Glow

Posted by Sander Janssen on March 4, 2010 No comments yet

This is a short film made for ‘The Generic Man’ (a clothing store) and is called Tokyo/Glow. In the film you see the night time journey of an illuminated man from a crosswalk sign. To achieve the effect of a glowing man an original light suit was constructed using hundreds of feet of high-voltage LED rope lights and a translucent nylon outer shell. The film actually consists of thousands of digital stills that are brought back to life in a movie. The great music is performed by indie rock band Kidstreet.
