This is a short film made for ‘The Generic Man’ (a clothing store) and is called Tokyo/Glow. In the film you see the night time journey of an illuminated man from a crosswalk sign. To achieve the effect of a glowing man an original light suit was constructed using hundreds of feet of high-voltage LED rope lights and a translucent nylon outer shell. The film actually consists of thousands of digital stills that are brought back to life in a movie. The great music is performed by indie rock band Kidstreet.

A large billboard of Weaterproof featuring American president Barack Obama was removed after the White House complained in a letter about the use of the president’s image. The name and pictures of the president are not allowed to be used for commercial purposes.
Weaterproof Garment Company advertised with the tagline “ A leader in Style”. Obama wears a coat of the brand in the picture.
The picture was taken by AP photographer Charles Dharapak during the visit of the president to China. The clothing company bought the picture from the news agency and used it in the advertisement.

“Remember your days as a baby? Probably not. The world revolved around you as if you found a genie who granted unlimited wishes. No work or worries. No bills or stress. A lot of sleeping. Some Eating. A little bit of playing.”
This is a remarkable campaign made for Egg, a baby clothing company. Blue pacifier stickers were placed on advertisements all over the city without explanation to generate buzz. 5,000 real blue pacifiers (right) are then placed in various locations around the city, leading to the micro site iwanttobeababy.com.
The site soon became a community where young parents could upload funny stories, drawings, pictures and other stuff, as long it had to do with babies.
Sex tapes. You have got to have one if you want to become famous.
I’ve done some research on the internet (no, not like you think) to see which girls have made a sex tape already. If you click ‘Sex tape’ on google, names start to appear: Pamela Anderson, Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, Tila Tequila, Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears and many more.
A couple of weeks ago a sex tape of the famous Carmen Electra popped out.
It showed the model kissing with another women. A week after Electra’s ’sextape’ (you couldn’t call it a real sex tape because they only kiss), another sex tape appeared. And it wasn’t of an American singer or actress, it was from a Dutch model called Yfke Sturm.
These two sex tapes were a teaser. It was said that the sequel would come out soon, and would be more spicier.. And it did, but in the end it appeared to be a commercial for ‘Van Gils‘, a Dutch company that fabrics suits for men.
Strange campaign don’t you think?
But it’s a perfect example of thinking out of the box. Van Gils got what it wanted, free media. And a lot of men (I don’t know whether these men fit in the target group) like to look at sort of sex tapes..

Gap launched its new loyalty program “Sprize” last week on Robson Street in Vancouver.
Gap claims is a retailing first, allows people to buy clothing at full price and receive automatic credits should it go on sale in the next 45 days. Customers can spend this credit at Gap, Banana Republic or Old Navy stores.
Advertising agency Cossette West uses the tag line “Shopping turned on its head” for this campaign. Visitors to the Robson Street store found everything flipped on its head from 6 till November 10th.
Almost everything has been inverted including the store logo, clothes racks that were fixed to the ceiling and even the cars in front of the store were flipped around. I especially liked the hot dog cart outside the store that was turned over and the up side down logo on the Gap shopping bags.
They did this all in one night. View all pictures after the jump.

I just saw this one today for the first time and I absolutely love it. They used the contrast between black and white to the max. It kinda reminds me of good old Frank Miller comic books. It’s definitly worth clicking on the images to see them in full size, the amounth of detail is amazing.

At first sight there is nothing special about this advertisment. But if you know it’s only published in gay magazines it ads a complete new level to it. This is just magnificent!
