Dulux: Let’s Colour

Let’s Colour Project is a worldwide initiative to transform grey spaces with energetic colour. The project brought colour to Brazil, France, the UK and India, where local communities rolled up their sleeves and joined in painting schools, streets, homes and squares. It waq realized by Dulux, an internationally known brand of paint.

This video was directed by Adam Berg who captures the highlights of the journey in an amazing way.

Krebsliga: Sticky notes

“Our skin accumulates the damage caused by successive sunburns.” Krebsliga, an Swiss organization putted mannequins on display at a public swimming pools and covered them with sticky reminders notes. They illustrate the threathening capacity of the sun by sayin “Our skin never forgets”.. Lovely campaign!

STIHL: Autumn Calendar

STIHL gave a never seen before business gift to promote their product range of leaf blowers. Their target audience were international key accounts, like municipalities of major cities. They’ve developed the very first tear-off calendar, that tears off its leaves automatically! The pages look like leaves from a tree, so after a while there is a bunch of brown leaves lying on the ground. Because in real life they only fall in autumn the calendar only covers the period from September 23d to December 21st.

The new television spot to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Peugeot is really good. This amazing production took 7 days of filming in HD, they did this in a big hangar in Mons (Belgium). The message for the new campaign goes as following: Combine worlds. Mix ideas. Blend technologies.
The animation delivers the message in a great way.

This creative billboard advertisement was created for the new Volvo C70 back in 2006. As you can see the tag line say: “Almost completely safe”. Let’s just say that those pigeons may cause trouble when you drive with the roof open.

Nikon: Face Recognition

Nikon and the Euro RSCG Singapore recently won the Cresta Awards in the category ‘Press’.
The campaign was for the Nikon Coolpix S60 Camera, with one of the bests face-recognition-technologies that quickly can be focussed up to 12 faces in a group portrait..
And that is been demonstrated in the following print ads.

Citroën: Cornering Lights

Cornering lights (not to be mistaken with side marker lights) are lights that lid up next to the headlights, when you make a turn. It’s safer for the driver as for the pedestrians because the part where the car turns are lit.
Citroën used the accessoire in a recent print ad of them, where the car lights are being curved, like their logo. And although the lights probably can’t be used like in the ad, it is a nice and simple idea.

Centraal Beheer Achmea is a Dutch Insurance company. It was founded in 1909 in Amsterdam and moved to the city of Apeldoorn in the 70’s.

In 1984 the company decided to launch a campaign that should expand their brand awareness and create a positive association with the insurance company. They advertised with the words: “Even Apeldoorn bellen” meaning “Just call us, Apeldoorn”.

In the commercials people experience awkward/painful situations that are very humorous for the viewers. The commercials are mostly in Dutch (some in English) although very little Dutch is spoken; the situations are understandable without the knowledge of Dutch.

In 2009 they stopped these popular commercials due to an attempt to assassin the Queen in Apeldoorn. The relation of the slogan “Just call us, Apeldoorn” is too close related to the attempt to kill the Queen in Apeldoorn.

Delvos: storm

This is a commercial for Delvos leaf blowers. Nowadays you see nothing but news about global warming, earthquakes, storms… in this video they reveal the truth behind all this.
It’s a pretty old ad (december 2007), we just saw it last week and thought it was pretty funny. You don’t have to speak German to understand this ad, the reporter is only corresponding there is a big storm.
Aparently besides being a television ad, it also had a big viral effect!
After the jump you can find a second version of the spot, in this version the guy in the background doesn’t stop his leafblower. The effect in this second video is much lower than in the first one.

Wonderbra: safety line

Yesterday I was surfing to find some good outdoor campaigns, and this is one of the best I’ve seen. It’s an old (2007) Wonderbra campaign. I never saw it before, so I’m sure some of you didn’t either.
The Wonderbra line is implying that women wearing a push up have to back up further if a train is passing.
Before I said Guinness never lets me down with their campaigns, but I can state the same for Wonderbra. We’ve seen some great ads over here in the last few months.
