Maes: A barrel for every Maes

Maes is Belgium’s second most popular beer but also Belgium’s 3rd most common surname. So since there is no joy in being second Maes beer gave a free barrel of Maes to all the people with the name Maes. They just had to sign up on Facebook, choose a pub and share the date – and their beer – with all of their friends. The campaign was created by TBWA and broke quite some records. The Facebook fanpage made it into the 6% most active pages worldwide, 1 out 20 Belgians visited the website and the amount of fans tripled in 1 day.

When reaching 8 million fans on Facebook, the pizza brand decided to thank all those fans. This by using its namesake domino logo. 7 specialist accepted the challenged and made a huge domino stack with over 50.000 dominos.

A social interactive live stream on Facebook connects the online and offline world in the newest social media campaign of Renault. Online likes measured the passion for the new Renault Clio. Offline, a heaver construction with the car on one side and a Facebook box on the other, showed the weight of this passion. Will there be enough passion to carry the car?


Swatch: Push the Button

To promote their new collection, Swatch’s agency came up with ‘Stop the Time’, a branded Facebook game where fans chose their favorite Swatch Chrono Plastic watch and kept their mouse button pushed on it. The longer they held onto the watch with their mouse, the greater their chance of winning it at the end of that week.
Some diehards lasted up to 24 hours!

The Balgian bank AXA, launched a credit card for young travellers which cannot exceed their limit. To make them believe that this card worked in abroad they sent out Cedric, a guy that needed to travel from Belgium to Hawai, without any money. Whenever he got a like on his facebook page, a dollar was deposited on his account.

Volkswagen Amarok is the ultimate all terrain vehicle. It goes on everywhere, from mountains to the streets of urban jungles. To show that we created Facebook FlipBook. It consists of 200 images that are following each other. You just keep your finger on the -> button and flip through the album so fast that it turns into a never ending movie loop. By the Facebook Flipbook project they expanded the possibilites of the Facebook Platform by using the Photo Album as a new medium.
