This is a billboard that actually cries, if it would have been a statue of The Virgin Mary they might consider it to be a miracle. It’s nicely done, but it reminds us a lot of this one we’ve posted over a year ago.

Queer Lisboa is the gay and lesbian film festival in Lisbon. To promote it they’ve made a funny parody on Reservoir dogs, one of the all time classics directed by Quentin Tarantino. Probably everyone knows the scene where the robbers are given new names and Steve Buscemi doesn’t want to be Mr Pink. Well in this parody it’s something completely different.

The concept for this campaign is really cool. “If your short attention span won’t allow you to read this entire ad, have we got a film festival for you.” Most of you will probably think the text (which you won’t read) makes no sense at all. Well you are wrong, the copywriter did a serious effort to keep it interesting for the people who DO want to read it.

Cinestud: Suicide

Cinestud is the oldest international student film festival in the world. With this commercial they wanted to promote the 50th edition of their festival this year. The end of the spot is really good, but also a bit creepy. I do wonder who was first with this concept? After the jump you can see another commercial that has some striking similarities.

Good is Short

This is a nice way to promote a short festival. With their slogan ‘Good is Short’ they searched for the good things in life: Love, Sex and Holidays. With a simple chart they made their point.
And actually, they’re right..

For the Seattle International Film Festival, Wongdoody made a remarkably and odd commercial.
The video concludes strange creatures in a fantasy world.
I thought this ad was pretty cool to look at..
