The London International Awards got awarded last Monday at the Troxy in London. The following weeks we will give you all the results starting with the awards for the best billboards.

ING Direct is a popular web bank. They pioneered a new way to handle relationship with their clients by providing on an easy to use digital platform. They used the following tagline “our clients are our best advertising” in a pretty direct way. The bank built human interactive billboards to let real clients dialogue with potential clients passing by. This is a Gold LIA Award winner.

On the 8th of November the London International Awards will take place. This year, for the first time in its 25-year history, LIA will also be honouring “The Best Network, Agency, Design Company and Production Company of the Year.” Hopefully next year there will be a category for best advertising blog. We will be at the award ceremony, hopefully you have booked your tickets as well.



Today we had a look at the shortlist and we came along a nice ambient made by advertising agency Three Drunk Monkeys.

In Australia they created “The Sun Sound” for The Cancer Council. It is a sound that reminds people to protect themselves from the sun in the same way a shark alarm warns people of sharks. The sound was composed by singer/songwriter Ben Lee and can be played on existing PA systems. The sound launched on Australian beaches and has since spread to other outdoor areas such as schools, parks and sporting events.
