The problem with most anti tobacco campaigns is that they don’t confront people with reality. They intend to be shocking but it’s just not real. In this case the campaign does both. Real victims of throat cancer are singing a song on a parade float. The reactions of bystanders are captured on film, now that’s confronting.

In this new commercial for the Royal Dutch Guide Dog Foundation, we see a variety of dogs wearing the most fancy and expensive fashion items. They parade along the street as if it’s a catwalk. However, one accessory is clearly out of place, both in style and in price.


US. General Services Administration: Anti-billboard

A provocative new sculpture has opened at the U.S.-Canada border crossing near Vancouver. It’s a billboard called ‘Non-Sign II’ it’s the brainchild of the Seattle art and architecture firm Lead Pencil Studio and was commissioned by the United States government.
It’s a billboard that advertises nothing but clean air. And how do you promote clean air? The studio puts it this way: “Borrowing the effectiveness of billboards to redirect attention away from the landscape… this permanently open aperture between nations works to frame nothing more than a clear view of the changing atmospheric conditions beyond.”

These three print advertisements were made for Projeto Arrastão. A Brazilian non-profit organization that supports children in need. The prints illustrate that one day your child may come in contact with someone that did not get the same upbringing. The tagline that goes along is: “One day, someone’s problem might be your problem too. Projeto Arrastão wants your help to support needy children to get a head start in life.”

This is the newest TV commercial for WWF. It shows that no mather where or who you are, you are always connected with nature, more then you imagine. That is why you have to support it and make sure animals and plants keep on existing in their habitat.

This ambient advertisement was made in 2006 for Amnesty International Germany. They wanted to make people aware of the fact that people are still locked up due to colour, religion or political reasons. The non-profit organization fights worldwide for human right. These stickers were strategically placed in public lockers.

To stand out they covered a car with a 360° skin created from a vehicle involved in a high-speed collision


FloodAid: URL stencil

Floodaid.com.au was created during the flood crisis in Brisbane Australia. The initiative was launched during! the crisis. In less than 72 hours after the beginning of the floods the website was online. It’s a social media instrument to connect people that need help with people that can help. To promote the website they’ve created these cool stencils that were placed in flooded areas, it looks like the text was partially erased by the floods.
