Volkswagen: I wish I was a GTI

People dream of having the perfect car but now even the cars want to look perfect. Ogilvy Cape Town in South Africa used hanging mobiles in a shopping mall’s parking lot. It gave drivers insight into their car’s mind with the following slogan: I wish I was a new GTI VW.

This reminds me of a campaign that was made for Mini Cooper. While people were test driving a mini cooper a sticker with the slogan “I wish I was a Mini” was placed on their old car.

This is a very powerfull campaign. I think everybody who will come across it will read it untill the end, and be shocked in some way. They illustrated the anonimity of the internet in a superb way, everyone can hide stuff behind some folders…
I just hope they didn’t publish the ad in this version, can anyone find the typo?

Imagine: you’re old, had a good life with a lot of joy, you have grand kids and a nice pension, you’re still able to do everything you want..
What could be bothering you at that time? Click on the picture to find out..

Not every commercial has to be funny or really nice animated with special effects. Sometimes a commercial can just tell a story. Or as somebody said on Youtube:

1. Emotional animal story – Check
2. Hot chick – Check
3. Nice car shot to bring it all together – Check

Today I came along a commercial made for Dove, well known for its cosmetics products. It has been several years since I have seen this commericial. Many of you still remember will still remember this superb ad but did you know that there was made a spoof of this commercial for Foster Farms.

This print ad is really shocking, but maybe nowadays it’s necessairy to shock people and wake them from their dreams. This is just reality, combined with some kind of poetry I guess.
I think it’s an awsome campaign!

Clever idea to promote matchbox, a well-known brand name of die-cast toys, small replicas of cars. They use real cars standing a hand that is drawn on the pavement so it looks like the car is actually small.
