This is a remarkable billboard made for Yes Quit, a non-profit organization helping people to stop smoking. Every two weeks the lungs would be repainted as if they were getting healthier. in the end the simple yet clear message “Quit smoking, get healthier”.

During the morning rush hour, MINI brought drivers into pole position with a special guerrilla poster at the traffic lights. The message was clear at first glance: speed yourself up. The sleek special model MINI Ace catapults its drivers from zero to the maximum legal speed and further in no time. The picture montage was specially created for this location and thus gave the perfect illusion.


Ariel: Fashion Shoot

During one week, in a specially built glass box in the waiting hall of Stockholm Central Station, passers-by could watch as clothes are hung on a washing line, only to be soiled. People could log on to Ariel’s Facebook page and try to soil clothes which were hung up.

For its new exhibition Stillspotting NYC, the Guggenheim Museum placed a wooden lectern with a megaphone holster and an attached sign: Say Something Nice. The idea came from Improv Everywhere, the organization that made flashmobs famous.


LG: You are the lead singer

For LG’s newest MCV904, a sound system which is able to remove the vocals from any music allowing the user to sing as if in a karaoke bar. In several music-stores LG and its agency Young & Rubicam, placed little mirrors on every CD-cover. Next to the mirror a little stickers with “Now you can be the lead singer of this band” was placed.

Here’s a nice optical illusion created by Newcastle Brown Ale. One person stands in a special location, while another climbs inside a larger than life replica of Newcastle’s traditional glass, the Geordie Schooner. The effect: it looks like they are trapped in a giant pint of Newcastle Brown Ale. When people uploaded their picture on Foursquare or Facebook, they got a free T-shirt.

McDonald’s: Ice Cold

McDonald’s and Cossetten, Vancouver have created a remarkable piece of artwork. They put 4,000 Canadian dollars in a seven-foot tall ice sculpture. The coins were shaped into McDonald’s famous Golden Arch and people were given the chance to get one of the dollars to buy a drink at the McDonald’s.

A couple of months ago, when it was still freezing in Czech Republic, Leagas Delaney and Rajec, a water brand, came up with a brilliant low-cost idea to promote the water. Several artworks, drawn by frost with the use of Rajec water, were created at some of the most frequented places downtown in Prague.


Dasani: PlantBottle

Coca-Cola water brand Dasani is literally going green with its new OOH campaign by designing a 12-foot topiary art piece in the shape of its eco-friendly PlantBottle packaging. In Bay Street in Toronto, the giant sized water bottle will be carved by Joe Kyte, known as “Topiary Joe.” View two more pictures after the break.
