Dow: Solutionism

A 46 foot long chalkboard and two live painters are part of this huge billboard. The painters began to reveal an elaborate equation, there was only a banner that teased, “Solutionism. The new optimism.” Throughout the execution people were invited to participate and guess portions of the equation through the website (giantchalkboard.com) and the twitter handle (@giantchalkboard). After five days, the answer was revealed to be 7 billion, which represents the soon-to-be world population.


Levis: lamp pole

Levis is besides a well-known jeans brand also a brand of paint made by multinational Akzo Nobel. This creative ambient advertisement, where a light pole is used to show the product, reminds us of an ad made for McDonald’s.


Dulux: Let’s Colour

Let’s Colour Project is a worldwide initiative to transform grey spaces with energetic colour. The project brought colour to Brazil, France, the UK and India, where local communities rolled up their sleeves and joined in painting schools, streets, homes and squares. It waq realized by Dulux, an internationally known brand of paint.

This video was directed by Adam Berg who captures the highlights of the journey in an amazing way.

Coral: Decoration starts with colours

Coral is a known producer of paint. To promote it’s premium decoration line they handed out coloured light bulbs. With these light bulbs aimed at a wall, people can see how much change a different colour can bring. It’s a sipmle idea but I think it’s really good.
