Probably everyone knows Paul the octopus, the German octopus that has predicted all the matches of Germany correct during the world championship of soccer. Sadly for Holland Paul predicted that Spain is going to win on Sunday (I’m sorry Rindert). Pepsi has used this short time famous mascot in a cool way in this print campaign.
Coca-Cola and Pepsi are each others biggest competitors, trying to dominate the carbonated soft drink market. Both brands don’t mind subtle advertisements stating that their product is better than its rival’s one.
The following TV ad got banned but it’s definitely worth watching.
Last week I’ve posted a commercial of Pepsi, on how you have to seduce a girl. Well here’s another one that fits in the line of the humorous ads they made.
In this video, this guys pulls an heroic move to just get a date..

Barcelona superstar and FIFA World Player of the Year Lionel Messi along with his Barcelona team-mate Thierry Henry, Chelsea duo Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard, and Liverpool talisman Fernando Torres all teamed up with Pepsi MAX to show their true colours as part of the new bodypaint campaign.
Jeroen, a good friend of ours, gave us this new TV commercial, which was filmed in Africa. It highlights the talents of the ‘MAX football stars’.
Earlier this year, Pepsi MAX launched the track, ‘Oh Africa’, which was recorded by Akon, Keri Hilson, the Soweto Gospel Choir and 16 aspiring musicians from around the world. The track will be the anthem for the new football TV commercial.
Pictures of the players can be viewed after the jump.
Remember that commercial of Pepsi where two guys help out their friend to get a job? Well it was one of Pepsi’s best ads of latest years.
Now they’ve got another like it!
But now it’s not for a job, it’s for a girl..

PepsiCo Inc is looking to freshen up the image of its soda and pledges to pay at least $20 million USD (14. 5 Million EUR) for projects people create to “refresh” their communities. The soft drink will have a heavy social media presence as consumers list their projects online and vote on the winners.
The music that goes along with the commercial to promote the project is by The Black Eyed Peas – One Tribe.

The “I’m Good” as for Pepsi Max feature several men exclaiming “I’m good” after experiencing a painful injury. The commercial ends with the tagline: “Pepsi Max, the first diet cola for men.”
The ad was shown during the first quarter of 2009 Super Bowl on February 1.

It has been more than six months that soft drink producer Pepsi has its new logo. Apparently brand agency Arnell was given 1 million dollars and months time to come up with the new logo. Not that I don’t like the logo but the idea behind it is extremely ridiculous. Their brand document counts 27 pages and if you look at it you really start wondering why they were given 1 million dollars.
They were probably finished after two weeks and then started to create the document because they were bored. The Nike logo known as the swoosh was created by Carolyn Davidson and she submitted a bill for $35 for her work.
And if you compare the changes over the years between the Coca Cola logo and Pepsi you will see that Coca Cola saved a lot of money =) That image is ofcourse not true, if you look at this image you can see that there have been made some changes to the Coca Cola logo over the years as well. They are just less dramatic.
