Funny and cunning print ad by Playboy South Africa. They placed a print ad in magazines with almost fully naked women, only their breasts were invisible because the page was split in two. The tagline “This wouldn’t happen online” was placed beneath the ad.

Playboy South Africa brings you a new spot directed by Jason Fialkov at Egg Films. The idea behind the ad is all about reaffirming the impact Playboy has had on popular culture through the decades. This iconic brand has been going since 1953 and has seen many fads, trends and styles come and go but has always kept itself relevant to it’s readers by delivering more that just a centerfold.

Playboy, Argentina searched a way to get more Twitter followers. That’s where Maria Paz Delgado came in, former Miss Buenos Aires and now a TV show hostess in Argentina. During her shows Playboy discovered that there were a lot of tweets. Playboy then challenged fans of her to retweet one of their messages in order to see her naked. Every 15 tweets uncovered one of her pics..
Result; lots of retweets ofcourse!

It’s a common sight to see posters of women in an auto shop. The playboy centrefold is usually used for this. But in this print ad Playboy is suggesting their articles can be exciting too. That’s why in this auto shop they put the article on the wall.
Update: After the jump you can see 2 more prints and the showcase of this campaign.

Playboy: Billboard

The idea behind this billboard becomes clear once the night falls and the two lights above the billboard turn on. There is only a golden background and the word Playboy together with the well-known bunny. We do not have to explain that the two light circles represent certain female body parts, right?

Playboy Argentina launched a unique casting campaign. This time they don’t use celebrities or top models in their magazine, they are searching their new models amongst regular people. Everyone can try to become one of the new models.
They’ve created a (fictional) professional photo shoot by using a webcam and the internet. All the models can select their best pictures and upload them in a photo album. By voting on these albums the new Playboy model will be selected.

Quiznos: Soft Porn Sandwich

Everybody knows that involving beautiful (wo)men in a campaign keeps people watching longer.
But I’m not sure whether Soft Porn has the same effect? Probably it does, but it also will affect the image of the brand!

In this commercial you see two models eating a sandwich.. but in what way?
It’s like they didn’t ate for a week!

Many thought that this commercial was for Quiznos, the second largest sandwich chain in North America. Because on the bag you see a ‘Q’ which looks a lot like the logo of Quiznos.
But at the end of the commercial it seems to be a commercial for Playboy.

Many people in America find this commercial cheap and not done. They also point a finger at Quiznos, who claims it has nothing to do with this…
But it’s obvious this is a cheap trick to gain a lot of media attention for their new ‘Torpedo‘ sandwich.
And it works, because bad media attention equals free media attention

Actually I’d rather eat a burger with this lady.

Company: Playboy, Quiznos
