Black Milk Media, transformed a geyser in Portugal into a giant bottle of Schweppes. The illusion of Schweppes is the beginning of a series of initiatives from Schweppes to promote its refreshing soft drink. The bottle wheighs over 500 ponds and is built out of iron, fiberglass and vinyl. It took 10 hours before the bottle was placed.
In Belgium the idea unfortunately has done before..

To promote the partnership between the biggest Portuguese bank (Caixa) and Portugal’s biggest football club (Benfica), Young & Rubicam Portugal thought of this remarkable stunt. During a game they’ve sent a streaker out on the field, followed by several policemen. When they caught the streaker they didn’t pin him down, but they actually lifted him up in the air and started celebrating. Obviously they were all actors. At the same time a message was passed through the stadiums speakers. This way they could reach out to thousands of fans in just a couple of seconds.

In Guiné-Bissau, women have to walk the equivalent of a Marathon to reach the most basic things such as water. Lidl, a German supermarket that has been in Portugal for over 15 years decided to do something to change this and forever shorten these distances. They’ve organized ‘the Marathon for water’. They’ve asked a woman from Giuné-Bissau to participate in the most important marathon of Portugal. With this they wanted to create awareness for the problem. The initiative gathered a lot of money, so they could create some artificial water wells so the women of Guiné-Buissau have to walk less to reach water.

WWF, the international non-governmental organization made this rare poster for the Copenhagen Summit in December 2009. During that summit the world leaders met to discuss Climate Change. WWF launched an intitiative called Vote Earth! to mobilize people to vote and put pressure on the world leaders to make the right decisions. They’ve created a poster entirely made of ice that was placed in a central spot of Lisbon. The poster warned of the consequences of the ice-cap melting, making people feel the urgency of putting an end to environmental disasters.

This blog exists for less than 4 months and we have already posted 47 different ads made for the non-profit sector. It is good to know that advertising agencies are doing their best to make these ads as good as possible. It is not the first time we have showed you a campaign for Amnesty International, and again it is a cool one!
