For the launch of its first 2 SIM card smartphone, Samsung did something unprecedented: a mapped projection on an human face. This video uses exclusively the video mapping technique to build several characters on an human face. The images were projected directly over an actor, as in a canvas.

Here is something you don’t see often. 3D projection on buildings is boosting the last few months, but it is a manner of time before brands will rush into this project, water projection. Projecting video images on spraying water, in this case for the launch of the new Jordan Melo M8.

For the opening of the New Museum of Liverpool, the city decided to go big. Together with Macula, an company specialised in making projection mappings, they made two very impressive artworks. One on the Liver Building, one of Liverpool’s Three Graces, which line the city’s waterfront and the other one on the museum itself.. Click read more to see the second projection mapping!

The goal for this campaign was to spread the legend of Sapporo beer beyond the sushi bar. Therefore Dentsu Inc, created a motion projection, were people could let their shadow be transformed into a giant legendary Japanese character. Three characters were made, a sumo wretsler, a samurai and a geisha. Another successful campaign by Dentsu Inc!

This outdoor campaign from Hyundai is really something.. It incorporates a new and REAL Hyundai Accent, suspended on the side of a building in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. With 6 HD-Projectors they map a 3D reality-scene where the car drives through a futuristic, computer generated cityscape..

Mini introduced the largest-ever interactive vending machine. This night project in Canada which showcases the latest 2011 Mini’s in a variety of different colour combinations. Passerby could interact with the projection by texting a short code to select the MINI of their choise. A giant vending machine has been made for Mini before, only it was a billboard.
