This guy is washing his car with incredible precision, a unique routine that takes quite a while. See for yourself what happens when a bird takes a dump on it when he’s just finished his routine. A perfect idea for a product with the slogan “Live without laziness”.

McFarland: Pissalyzer

There are a lot of non-profit campaigns to make people aware that drinking and driving don’t go to well together. But this campaign is by far one of the most creative so far. The ‘Pissalyzer’ is a little black square installed in the urinals. If you pee longer than about 25 seconds (the average, supposedly, if you’ve drunk one pint of beer), a message magically appears in the box recommending that you take a cab home.

In the middle of Frankfurt, pedestrians could spectate a rather unusual vending machine. The machine was filled with 16 living chickens, who would lay fresh eggs for those who wanted. At least, that’s what they thought.. They were confronted with the following message: “68% of all the chickens in the world are treated like egg-laying machines”. At the same time, they were requested to only buy eggs from ethical egg farming.

Terminix: Fries

With the slogan “Termites eat 24 hours a day” the container with wood in it looked like a giant French Fries box. This ambient would have even been better, although most likely illegal, if the wood had real termites in it.

Not sure what to think about this ad, some might find it terrible others would say it’s genius. It makes you figure how the agency managed to sell this idea to the customer, probably one hell of a sales pitch!

Terminix: Cockroach Billboard

Terminix is a pest control service that delivers termite control, flea control, and much more. To show that roaches can bring certain diseases such as E.Coli into a house, Publicis Dallas came up with this special billboard. 5,000 live cockroaches were put into a squirming display. It reminds us of the Plan Bee Billboard
Funny fact; every 15 minutes the billboard had to turn towards the shade for the roaches not be burnt by the sun..

This is one of the best print ads from this week. Not only the idea is funny but the photography is amazing as well. The mafioso in the driver seat got shot but the glass was replaced really fast, by Lebeau Auto Glass.

LICRA, the French organisation focused on challenging racism and anti-semiticism, used colour panels to raise awareness of the unfair treatment of people based on colour of skin. Paint chips, ranging from white through to dark brown, are associated with statistics relating to joblessness, finding a flat, being elected as a public official, and being submitted to police checks. “Let’s do something about discrimination”. The campaign won a Print Gold award at the 2010 Epica Awards.
