Akim is the The National Association for the Habilitation of Children and Adults with Intellectual Disabilities. In this commercial they illustrate in a subtle way you shouldn’t discriminate people with a disability. This ad reminds us of the much more powerful teddy bear ad for Pro Infirmis a little while ago.

For the launch of the Heinz new Hot & Spicy Ketchup, Young and Rubicam Tel Aviv, created this live fire billboard. Especially at night the effect came alive and showed the spicy-ness of their new product..

In Tel Aviv (Israel), Young and Rubicam have developped an impressive non-profit campaign against people driving when drunk. The idea was to make a huge bottle, built out of broken car frames. On the bottle it says “Don’t drink and Drive”. The campaign starts today and will run for 3 months. The giant bottle has been placed on one of the busiest roads where over 1 million people will pass by.

The details:
- 80 cars frames in the bottle
- 15 tons worth of metal
- 20 meters tall giant bottle

A really cool television spot for Israel Radio, they are using television as a medium to promote a radio station. This spot makes people think about what they hear and see.
‘What you hear has much more impact, perk up your ears, radio advertising works.’

Elmex: No cavities

Elmex is a brand of toothpaste manufactured by GABA International AG, a European manufacturer of branded oral care products. They wanted to suprise people and show them that Elmex is the perfect product to prevent cavities. Together with Young & Rubicam (Shalmor Avnon Amichay) they’ve made a brilliant interactive campaign.

They’ve collaborated with Israel’s largets bowling chain. 140 bowling balls were ordered and randomly distributed amongst all bowling halls. The one thing these bowlingballs didn’t have were holes. Instead of the holes, Elmex placed three stickers saying: “Helps prevent Cavities. Elmex”

An Urban Protest Exhibit featuring 1.3 kilometers of empty dinner tables to raise 200,000 holiday meals.
I have some strange feelings with this one, why spend this much money on a non profit campaign?
Nontheless it’s a good idea, and again from Israel!

If only there were as much creative ideas in Belgium as there were in Israel, I can’t say it enough!
Again a simple idea, but it would put a smile on my face if I see this in real life!

Like I said a couple of days ago, Israelian advertising agencies are doing an incredible job. And every time it’s Young & Rubican Tel Aviv that pops out for me.
This again is a textbook example of good media usage. Love it!
