Mobilia shopping mall in Sweden was having a shortage in parking space so they’ve built a big parking complex. The problem continued because nobody was using the new parking building. That’s why they launched this crazy stunt. In the parking lot, one car was placed on top of another in order to illustrate the parking problems. The story created a big buzz and a lot of free publicity. Afterwards they made the connection with the parking problem and the new building. A good example of cheap but efficient advertising.

Redline Tattoo shop added piercing to their business as well, to promote this they’ve made this funny print. But in order to address their target audience they didn’t want to use a Photoshopped image so they went for the real deal.

A great promotion for Farinelli ‘The story of a castrato’ at Musikaliska Concert Hall in Stockholm. The knife cuts as if it were the castrato’s testicles. The idea is really good, sadly the execution isn’t that great.

A matching image had to be uploaded to their wall. The most creative images would win the trips. Unfortunately the capaign was against the Facebook advertising policy.

Lowe Brindfors has created a lovely full-flash experience for the new Magnum ice-cream. The idea is based around the fact that the internet is a treasure full of pleasures. In this online game, you are controlling a woman who’s running around through various websites. The idea and visualisation are impressive as she not only runs around, but also drives, flies and jumps!

Swedish Post used “Sound of Green” interactive advertising campaign to raise awareness of their range of pre-franked parcels. The campaign was designed to tell people that it is possible to send almost anything over night with the green parcels. Eighty specific sounds were recorded by shaking eighty different parcelled objects. Visitors to the Sound of Green site, ljudetavvadsomhelst.se, were invited to guess what was inside each of the boxes judging from their sounds. The first to guess each box would have it sent to them overnight. Chances of winning were increased by improving the quality of sound, using a slider on the site, or asking a friend on Facebook.

SL is the public transport company of Stockholm; they are launching an access-card (the equivalent of the London Oyster card). But SL was still looking for a design for this card. With this campaign they are encouraging young designers to participate in the design-contest. Miniature canvasses (exactly the size of an access-card) were sent out to 100 design students, they got 183 submissions from design students! In total 8970 designs were submitted for this contest.
As requested: click here for the official website where you can vote on the designs.
