Tomorrow the COP15 United Nations Climate Change Conference starts in Copenhagen.
For many people this a very important conference, because the ‘health’ of the earth depends on it. Many of them believe that even if world leaders come together and make an effort, no big or drastic changes will be made. That’s why Greenpeace already made the following campaign where you can see the world leaders in 2020, saying “I’m sorry, we could have stopped catastrophic climate change… We didn’t“.

These print are placed in the airport of Copenhagen hoping to reach as much people as possible and even maybe one of the world leaders.. On the print ads the following leaders appear: Obama (USA), Sarkozy (France), Merkel (Germany), Tusk (Poland), Lula (Brasil), Zapatero (Spain), Brown (United Kingdom) and Harper (Canada).

TckTckTck is a brand of ‘The Global Campaign for Climate Action’. GCCA is founded to build a climate deal in Copenhagen this December, it’s a collaboration of International NGOs. For al the publicitywork for GCCA the name TckTckTck is used, this name indicates that “time is running out”

We’ve seen another Tck ad passing by some time ago. The graphical work in this campaign is better, I just don’t really like the slogan: ‘What they do happens to us. The powers are the main cause of the changing climate. Let’s demand a fair agreement in Copenhagen.’
Maybe it’s the translation? Can anyone tell me if the original Spanish slogan makes more sense?

I don’t know if this has ever been done before, but I like the idea. Just plain and simple and still a tad shocking. The graphical design is a bit off, too bad!
