Elmex: No cavities

Posted by Bert Callens on December 16, 2009 No comments yet

Elmex is a brand of toothpaste manufactured by GABA International AG, a European manufacturer of branded oral care products. They wanted to suprise people and show them that Elmex is the perfect product to prevent cavities. Together with Young & Rubicam (Shalmor Avnon Amichay) they’ve made a brilliant interactive campaign.

They’ve collaborated with Israel’s largets bowling chain. 140 bowling balls were ordered and randomly distributed amongst all bowling halls. The one thing these bowlingballs didn’t have were holes. Instead of the holes, Elmex placed three stickers saying: “Helps prevent Cavities. Elmex”

Colgate: Don’t forget

Posted by Rindert Dalstra on November 8, 2009 No comments yet

Instead of giving away product samples, ice cream and cotton candy were given out. The stick carrying the ice cream and cotton candy carries a hidden message. Once consumers are done the message printed on the tip of the stick shaped like a toothbrush reveals “Don’t Forget” with the Colgate logo. This simple message effectively reminded consumers to brush their teeth.

Colgate is a toothpaste that is owned by a large american diversified multinational corporation.

Elmex: bus ticket

If only there were as much creative ideas in Belgium as there were in Israel, I can’t say it enough!
Again a simple idea, but it would put a smile on my face if I see this in real life!

Elmex: cavities in my locker

Like I said a couple of days ago, Israelian advertising agencies are doing an incredible job. And every time it’s Young & Rubican Tel Aviv that pops out for me.
This again is a textbook example of good media usage. Love it!

Crest: Smile

Posted by Bert Callens on April 29, 2009 2 comments

Do your remember the two commercials of Crest (toothpaste brand of Procter & Gamble), where a man tells his girlfriend that he has lice, and probably as well? Or when a guy in a bulldozer is destroying a playground when kids are walking by?
In both situations, they’re not mad, because their smile is so beautifull.

Crest has made a similar commercial about a man that wants to get a prenuptial agreement.
