Hand From Above encourages us to question our typical routine when we time and again find ourselves rushing from one destination to another.

It is inspired by Land of the Giants and Goliath, that we are reminded of mythical stories by a giant hand from the BBC Big Screen. The pedestrians that were passing by were tickled, stretched, flicked or entirely removed in real-time by a giant deity.

The idea was created by FACT: Foundation for Art & Creative Technology and Liverpool City Council for BBC Big Screen Liverpool and the Live Sites Network and realized by London artist Chris O’Shea. It was launched during the Abandon Normal Devices Festival.

This is the story of Alan a wannabe rock star.
Alan has everything what a real rock star should have: the trappings, the leather jacket, the pants, his long hair and even the androgyny looks.. The only thing he misses, is talent..
So that makes him the perfect Guitar Hero..

Check out the whole video, it’s really worth while waiting until you see when Alan finds his new destiny.. Actually I was kind of happy for him at the end..

It’s a four-minute-plus music video that is made for Doritos , pushing the brand’s tie-in with Guitar Hero in the U.K.

Many of you won’t be a real fan of this ad, but I think it’s got something special.
It’s an ad for the Sony Audio products and shows a village in the mountains surrounded by music.
Although this commercial isn’t full of special effects, it still has like a magic atmosphere..

RSPCA: Annoying Chicken

“Is it right for England to take a backward step for chicken welfare, to come in line with EU legislation?”
That’s what the RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) is asking. England is scoring best at breeding chickens in an ‘animal-friendly’ way but they have to change their standards into those of the EU legislation, which would mean that more chickens will be crammed into small sheds.

Imagine if you were a chicken, would you put up with that?
RSPCA and the Good agency decided to let the people feel how it’s like living without personal space. They sent a human-sized chicken into the streets to let the people find out..

I have been on holiday the last three weeks. A man should enjoy life whenever he can, I always say..
But in times of relaxing in a foreign country far away from your home, you realize how lucky you are when you have good friends and family waiting when you come back..

That’s why I dedicate this post to my good Creative Criminals-colleague, Rindert.
The movie is about a man who smokes, and suddenly gets beaten up by an invisible person.
This campaign is made by NHS Birmingham East and North, challenging smokers to fight back and stop smoking. The billboards and videos are placed everywhere from shopping centres to Birmingham City and Aston Villa’s grounds on match weekends.

I always wonder if such shockvertising-campaigns make a difference.. They are striking and touching, but does it last more than five minutes?
And Rindert, the reason why I’ve posted this campaign (besides of the simple yet good idea): I don’t want that such a bad thing would ever happen to you! So stop!

Virgin: 50 Women faking an orgasm

Powerfull stuff that Virgin’s broadband service..

The commercial was based on the famous ‘When Harry Met Sally’ diner orgasm scene with a slight twist; 50 Megs instead of one.
Another extra is that all the men in the diner were figurants but they had no idea what would happen.. So their reactions were genuine, and funny!
