In the east Village area of New York City, all of the cars in the area had their windows tagged with the decal underneath. It is an advertising campaign of Zynga, a Web 2.0-based social network game developer, promoting their new game crime-themed game, Mafia Wars Las Vegas. The decal reads: “A heist went down in your hood today. See it at MafiaWarsLV.com.”

The purpose of this billboard is to scare gamers for the launch of ‘Alan wake’ the highly anticipated psychological action thriller game on Xbox. The message is simple: ‘dark is deadly’, so when it turns night the shadow on the sundial is pointing at Dead.

You probably all know Colin McRae: he was a successful Scottish rally driver that won a lot of prices. Unfortunately, he died in a helicopter accident in September 2007 which also claimed the lives of his son and two family friends. McRae was piloting the helicopter at the time of the crash.

I’ve noticed a new trend among video games. Because it is a cruel market with hard competition (Playstation, Xbox, Nintendo,..) and all games are becoming better and better, creators are spending more money to advertising. Personally I’m not really a gamer. I don’t have the time for it, and I don’t know which game to play (God knows how many games there are).
But after seeing this short movie for Assasin’s Creed, I would know.
It’s a live-action short movie (14 minutes long) that is packed with beautiful special effects. Released just a week ago, the video now has over 1 million views on YouTube.
And soon there will be a part two of this great short movie!
