A great concept developed by some students of the Miami Ad School in Germany. On children’s day you can download an update for the successful video-game Battlefield 3, when playing the game after this update you will have to complete a round without guns and armour. When you get ‘killed’ you will see you just played the game as an innocent child. After this you are invited to donate money off course. We are not sure though if EA games would ever let advertisers mess with their precious video-game.

Now this is a great idea! Promoting a video game about superheroes by allowing people to dress like superheroes. In the Spanish city of Madrid a real life tailor opened who was specialised in making costumes for superheroes. People could make an appointment to make their very own custom costume. With a lot of media coverage this game launch was a big success.

In the east Village area of New York City, all of the cars in the area had their windows tagged with the decal underneath. It is an advertising campaign of Zynga, a Web 2.0-based social network game developer, promoting their new game crime-themed game, Mafia Wars Las Vegas. The decal reads: “A heist went down in your hood today. See it at MafiaWarsLV.com.”

In this trailer a bunch of skateboarders are transforming downtown Los Angeles into one big customized skate park. It’s a trailer for the new Shaun White Skateboarding game. Probably the soundtrack “Little Green Bag by George Baker Selection” gives some extra power. The spot concludes with the slogan, “The transformation begins fall 2010”.
