The women drivers stereotype is used unthinkingly everyday by both men and women. It’s a popular insult, especially online, where it’s still going strong with thousands of tweets using the #womendrivers.


Audi decided to flip the tables on #womendrivers trolling and challenge people to question their assumptions about women drivers. Theyposted a series of disruptive tweets using the hashtag #womendrivers. 

The tweets prompted people to click a link to further content. There, instead of the expected LOL pics or videos of dangerous women drivers, they found news articles about real women driving business, technology or innovation.

People clicked in their droves, some got angry, some got riled, but most just got it.
