Since yesterday a commercial for Audi appeared online. In this spot a guy tries to commit suicide in a new Audi A5. The video already caused a lot of commotion and meanwhile the German company is denying it’s an official commercial. The spot has already been removed from Youtube, luckily we managed to put it online anyway.
In the commercial a man attaches a hose to the exhaust of his A5, and puts the other end through his window. But because the car has such a low emission it’s impossible for the man to suffocate himself. At the end of the spot the slogan is shown: Clean diesel technology, good for the environment, good for you.
Though this spot seems remarkably professional, Audi denies having made it. According to a spokesman they use other music and another font in their ads.
