After a year of brainstorming, drawing designing and redesigning we proudly present the new creative design of our advertising blog. The old design is officially history!

The idea is simple, we wanted a unique design for our blog that fits the style of Creative Criminals. You will probably remember the collection of Creative Criminals we presented in 2010.

With the new design we wanted to continue this style with a link to the advertising world itself. Advertising boomed in the 1920’s on Madison Avenue in New York City, so we recreated a skyscraper based on this old building:

We started with a sketch of the building and eventually we ended up with the design you are experiencing right now. Have a look at the evolution above, click on the individual images to view the large sketches. Do not be scared to take a second to look at it more carefully, you will continuously find new exciting details. For example the about page and even the custom 404 page.

But that is not everything, we created an astonishing billboard on the rooftop of the building. A fully integrated flash banner that is, unlike other banners, not disturbing at all. In reality you can find billboards on top of buildings as well, so why not integrate it in our design? If you are interested in advertising on the blog, you should check out our advertise page.

Over the last year we have kept you up to date with the most amazing advertising campaigns. We would like to ask you to return the favour by spreading the word about the new design. Twitter, Facebook, all social media networks you have are helpful. You may even send a carrier pigeon to all your friends.

We would like to thank all the people that have helped to make the launch of our new design possible. Especially Ahfatt from originideas.com, our designer, Kevin & Jeffrey from basing.nl for the scripting and Laura Verstraeten, the Flash developer. We will also use the opportunity to thank others that have supported us for a long time. Matt & Dave from BD (UK), Renee Bani from Numero10 (Switzerland) and Gerald Hensel from Blast Radius (The Netherlands).

Finally we would like to thank all of you for visiting our blog, for submitting creative advertisements and commenting on campaigns. 2011 is going to be an amazing advertising year! Feel free to let us know what you think of the new design.
