Since Winter 2014, after the annexation of Crimea and the beginning of counter-terrorist operation (CTO) in Eastern Ukraine, an approximate of 1.4 million Ukrainians have become internally displaced persons, scattered throughout other regions of the country.

Coming from regions historically perceived as pro-Russian, they are often blamed for the lack of will to defend own land, effectively being the reason of war festering, and then fleeing instead of fighting.

To prevent further stigmatization and promote understanding and support from the host communities towards people who have already lost the most valuable thing – their home – the social media campaign, held under the auspices of the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and Government Initiative on the immigrants support, was launched.
